RACE RULES
The Organizer may revise and update the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the regulations at any time. Please consult them regularly.
General Information
The Nord Trail Monts de Flandres (NTMF) is organized by the association Environnement Sport Nature in Meteren. Seven courses will be scheduled with the following distances and elevation gains:

13 km with 280 m positive elevation gain – Start at 8:00 a.m.

25 km with 550 m positive elevation gain – Start at 9:00 a.m.

30 km (self-sufficient) with 710 m positive elevation gain – Start at 4:00 a.m.
-
42 km with 990 m positive elevation gain – Start at 10:00 a.m.
-
59 km with 1,150 m positive elevation gain – Start at 7:00 a.m.
-
80 km with 1,500 m positive elevation gain – Start at 6:00 a.m.
-
115 km with 2,150 m positive elevation gain – Start at 2:00 a.m.
The courses partially use private paths and are forbidden outside the event. For this reason, detailed course maps are not disclosed in advance.
Age Requirements

13 km: minimum 18 years old during the year (2008 and earlier)

25 km: minimum 20 years old during the year (2006 and earlier)

30 km: minimum 20 years old during the year (2006 and earlier)

42 km: minimum 20 years old during the year (2006 and earlier) – ID card required (crossing into Belgium)

59 km: minimum 20 years old during the year (2006 and earlier) – ID card required (crossing into Belgium)

80 km: minimum 20 years old during the year (2006 and earlier) – ID card required (crossing into Belgium)

115 km: minimum 20 years old during the year (2006 and earlier) – ID card required (crossing into Belgium)
Runners are not allowed to run with a dog or any other animal, even on a leash.
All runners must sign their registration form. Participation is under the runner’s full responsibility, with waiver of any claim against the organizers for any damage suffered or caused. Participants expressly waive any rights or claims against the organizers and agree not to pursue legal action for any incident arising from their participation.
No registration will be possible on race day.
Mountain bike escorts are not allowed. Unauthorized aid (“wild aid”) is prohibited.
Runners must use reusable containers at aid stations (eco-cup, hydration bladder, bottles). No disposable cups will be provided.
Volunteers or marshals have the authority to disqualify runners for failure to comply with the rules (littering, cheating, cutting the course, insults, or behavior incompatible with trail running).
Respect for Nature
Participants may not receive personal assistance along the course (except at aid stations). Any withdrawal must be reported to the nearest checkpoint supervisor, and the bib must be handed in. Runners must assist and help each other.
Intermediate Checkpoints

Use of trekking poles is prohibited.

No waste may be discarded; failure to comply will result in disqualification.

Any problem or accident must be immediately reported to the nearest checkpoint.

Any runner failing to respect basic rules of cleanliness and environmental respect may be removed from the race.
Mandatory equipment:

Minimum 1.5 L water reserve, energy bars or gels for all runners, except:
-
13 km and 25 km: minimum 0.5 L of water or liquid.

For distances over 30 km: water bottle or hydration system, energy bars or gels, whistle, rain jacket, and survival blanket.
A headlamp is mandatory for the starts of:

115 km at 2:00 a.m.

30 km at 4:00 a.m.
-
80 km at 6:00 a.m.
Toilets near the start area (village hall and/or multipurpose hall) will be available. Showers are available near the finish.
Before the Trail
Bib Collection
For flow management reasons, all bibs (13–115 km) will be distributed on Friday 17 April 2026 and Saturday 18 April 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Sports Hall, Chemin Haut, Saint-Jans-Cappel.
Runner packs will be distributed in the trail lounge area. One-way circulation will be enforced.
No bibs will be distributed on race day. Bib mailing is available as an option during registration.
Registration includes a bottle of 3 Monts beer and a T-shirt.
A bag drop is available in the FLOW hall for all races.
115 km Assistance Bag
Runners may leave an assistance bag at the start in Saint-Jans-Cappel between 1:00 a.m. and 1:40 a.m. It will be available at the life base in Boeschèpe.

In case of event cancellation due to force majeure or prefectural decision, 50% of entry fees will be retained by the organization.
After 01/04/2024, 100% of entry fees will be retained.
Refunds
All registrations are personal, firm, and final, and are non-refundable for any reason.
Optional Runner Cancellation (42, 59, 80, 115 km)
An optional cancellation insurance (€12) allows reimbursement of registration fees (minus €3 handling fees, transaction fees, and insurance cost) only in case of medical reasons (serious illness or injury preventing running). A medical certificate is mandatory and must be submitted by 05/04/2026 to info@prolivesport.fr.
Registration Requirements

FFA License (Athlé Compétition, Athlé Entreprise, Athlé Running, or “J’aime courir” pass), valid on race date, or
-
PPS (Health Prevention Pathway) for non-licensed adults (valid for 3 months via pps.athle.fr), or
-
Minors: completion of a health questionnaire by the minor and legal guardians, or a medical certificate less than 6 months old if required.
Foreign athletes, even if licensed by an IAAF-affiliated federation, must provide the PPS.
The organizer is not required to verify the authenticity of documents and cannot be held liable in case of falsification.
No registration will be accepted without valid proof of eligibility.

Mandatory entry into the start zone 20 minutes before start.
Timing, Bibs, and Aid Stations
Electronic timing chips will be used, with checkpoints along the course.
Bib pickup is Friday and Saturday only (9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.). No race-day pickup. Third-party pickup is allowed with ID proof.
Bibs must be worn on the chest or abdomen, visible at all times, and not attached to a backpack.
No bib exchanges are allowed except through official procedures. Unauthorized transfer makes the original runner liable in case of accident.
Aid stations are provided according to distance, offering water, energy bars/gels, fruit, and dry cakes. Waste disposal is only permitted at aid stations.
Rankings, Briefing, and Logistics
Individual and category rankings will be published online. Podium prizes are for scratch rankings.
A mandatory briefing will take place 15 minutes before each race start.
Parking is available in Bailleul, with pedestrian access to the venue. Restricted vehicle access applies in start/finish zones.
Medical Assistance and Safety
Medical support includes doctors, ambulances (VPSP), and first-aid teams. Emergency contact numbers will be printed on bibs.
Runners must assist anyone in danger and follow medical staff decisions, including race withdrawal or evacuation if required. Any extraordinary rescue costs are borne by the runner.
Insurance, Anti-Doping, and Road Safety
Civil liability insurance is provided by the organizers. Participants must comply with anti-doping regulations and road safety rules. MTB escorts are prohibited.
Environment and Image Rights
Runners must respect nature, residents, private property, and other trail users. Any violation results in immediate disqualification.
Participants authorize the use of images taken during the event for promotional purposes. Personal data rights apply in accordance with French law.
Acceptance of the Regulations
By registering, all participants acknowledge having read and accepted these regulations and agree to comply with them. Any breach may result in exclusion from the event.
